Assoc. Prof. Dr. Melek Sarı Güven, a faculty member of the Department of History at the Faculty of Letters, has been appointed as the Director of the Bartın and Neighborhoods History & Culture Research & Application Center (BAYTAM), with the approval of our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya.

Within the same appointment process, Dr. Kadri Akçalı and Research Assistant Ömür Göktepeliler have been appointed as Vice Directors.

We would like to thank the former Director of the Center, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Musa Salan, and the previous administration for their valuable contributions to the Center, and we wish the new administration success in their duties.
